Att: GRU | Child removal case of Keira Kronvold
To Danish officials,
I'm writing to you today to object to the treatment of Keira Kronvold and the removal of her
daughter Sammi. The use of a culturally inappropriate parental test, and the subsequent removal
of her child is not only heartbreaking, but leads to important questions about Denmark's
commitment to fair and just treatment of Inuit peoples.
As a Canadian, I am appalled by this case and hope to see her reunited with her daughter
permanently very soon. I would like you to know the world is watching, and Denmark's
international reputation is tarnished by these practices that put into question your country's
commitment to human rights.
