Invitation for the Members of the Cultural Affairs Committee of the Folketing
to the Caspar David Friedrich exhibition at the Pomeranian State Museum
on 26 May 2024 in Greifswald, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany
Dear Mr. President,
With reference to the visit by the Committee on Science, Culture, Federal and
European Affairs of our Landtag to the Cultural Affairs Committee of the Folketing, it is
my pleasure to extend this invitation to the Spokesman of the Cultural Affairs
Committee, Mr. Hans Christian Schmidt, and Committee members to the Caspar David
Friedrich on 26 May 2024 in Greifswald.
The exhibition starts at 6 p.m. on 26 May at the Pomeraniari State Museum
(Rakower Strafe 9, 17489 Greifswald) and will be followed by a joint dinner hosted by
the President of the State Parliament of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Ms. Birgit Hesse
to kick off the Third Meeting of the BSPC Working Group on Energy Security, Self
sustainability, Resilience and Connectivity in Greifswald.
This event could provide an opportunity to continue the expert discussions between
the members of the aforementioned Committees at the Caspar David Friedrich
exhibition and thus to jointly honour the 250” anniversary of this exceptional artist.
In view of the fact that only up to six members of the Landtag’s Committee on Science,
Culture, Federal and European Affairs may be present at this meeting, it would be
suggested to convey this invitation to a corresponding number of guests from the side
of the Folketing in orderto ensure a balanced representation and discussion.
