Anmodning om opdatering af informationer om Myalgisk encephalomyelitis påsundhed.dkDen 19. marts 2014 blev der afholdt høring i folketinget om funktionelle lidelser1. Her fremgik det, at der eren sammenblanding af diagnoser og begreber. En del af denne sammenblanding kunne for sygdommenMyalgisk encephalomyelitis (ME), blive imødekommet ved en opdatering af relevante afsnit på sundhed.dk.Jeg foreslår derfor følgende opdateringer til afsnittet Kronisk træthedssyndrom2, som ikke er opdateretsiden januar 2010:Sundhed.dk skriver, at neurasteni er et synonym for ME/kronisk træthedssyndrom. Dette er ikkekorrekt. WHO diagnose registeret3oplyser, at Neurasteni har diagnosekode F48 under ”Neuroticstress-related and somatoform disorders”, og det er udtrykkeligt angivet, at neurasteni (F48)udelukker postviral fatigue syndrome, Benign Myalgic encephalomyelitis (G93.3).Sammenblandingen med neurasteni bør således fjernes fra afsnittet. Og det ville give mere klarhed,hvis ME kun bliver kaldt ved ét navn: Myalgisk encephalomyelitis.Opdatering af viden om neurologiske, immunologiske og autonome forstyrrelser ved ME.Oplysning om, at ME og Postural Ortostatisk Takykardi Syndrom (POTS) ofte forekommer komorbid.Referenceliste til inspiration til opdatering vedlægges i bilag 1. Det kan anbefales at oprette et selvstændigtafsnit om POTS. Dette er sket i den norske lægehåndbog4. Her er man så opdateret, at det autoimmuneaspekt ved sygdommen POTS er beskrevet. Ligesom associationen mellem POTS og HPV vaccine er nævnt.Der findes også helt ny opdateret artikel på dansk om POTS, som med fordel kan anvendes til et POTS-afsnit på sundhed.dk.5Det vil ligeledes hjælpe på forståelsen af sygdommen ME, hvis man undgik at benytte betegnelser somsomatoforme lidelser, funktionelle lidelser, kronisk træthedssyndrom og forskningsbaserede diagnoser sombodily distress syndrome som synonym for Myalgisk encephalomyelitis. Afsnit på sundhed.dk som medfordel kunne opdateres i overensstemmelse med WHO diagnose registeret er:Somatoform lidelse6Funktionelle lidelser (Bodily Distress Syndrome og Helbredsangst)7Somatoforme lidelser (excl. hypokonder tilstand)8

Somatoforme lidelser9Hvis man sammenholder teksten fra disse afsnit, vil det fremgå, at der stor set er sat lighedstegn mellemsomatoform lidelse, funktionel lidelse, Bodily Distress Syndrome og helbredsangst/hypokonderi. OgMyalgisk encephalomyelitis (ME) indgår som en delmængde af denne mere eller mindre uklaresammenhæng.Ved hele tiden at flette sygdommen Myalgisk encephalomyelitis ind i denne sammenhæng foregår der enbranding af sygdommen.Ordet branding kommer af det engelske brændemærke. Vi kender de gamle westerns, hvor køerne blevbrændemærket, så man kunne se, hvor de hørte til. I dag benyttes ordet branding, når et firma vil slå sitnavn fast i en bestemt sammenhæng.Branding er et marketingkoncept. Marketingfolk er dygtige til at forbinde et virksomhedsprodukt medfølelser. Vi ser en reklame med chokolade og familiehygge, eller cola og unge mennesker, der har det sjovt.Hvad sker der, når vi ser ME hele tiden nævnt i sammenhæng med hypokondri, angstlidelser ogforskningsdiagnoser, som ikke er bekræftet? Vi forbinder disse ting med hinanden. I vores underbevidsthedsidestiller vi begreberne. Vi accepterer, at disse ting hænger sammen. De danner langsomt voresverdensbillede. Man får den fejlagtige opfattelse, at behandling rettet mod sygdomsangst også vil virke tilbehandling af ME. Men skal det være et marketingkoncept, der afgør hvor ME indplaceresdiagnosemæssigt og behandles, eller skal det være videnskaben?Jeg anmoder på det kraftigste om at få oplysninger på sundhed.dk bragt i overensstemmelse med WHOdiagnose registeret, ny viden og forskning om Myalgisk encephalomyelitis.
